The Story of Gallz Provisions
HI my name is Julia Gallay but people just call me GALLZ.
I am a self-taught baker based in Toronto, Canada.
I’ve always loved cooking, baking, and spending time in the kitchen. LIKE, TO BE CLEAR, when I was a kid, instead of wanting to meet Hilary Duff or Avril Lavigne, I dragged my parents to meet various Food Network stars (who I deemed celebrities.)
For several years while working in the medical technology field I was constantly baking for my friends and family, and in the winter of 2020 I decided to make this my full-time gig. I have never been more sure in my decision to have taken the leap into the CAKE WORLD.
I’ve always said that I would like to be known for one thing and one thing only: to be a master in my craft. Since starting Gallz Provisions I feel like I have really honed in on this philosophy. Don’t get me wrong, there is so much more to learn and I can always do better AND push myself to BE better. But I am at least confident in the fact that I feel like I am getting one step closer.

ANYWAYS here are some things about ME
I lurv sparkling water, I drink about five black coffees a day (it’s neither here nor there), if there is steak tartare on the menu I WILL be ordering it, and my favourite shoes are clogs (Birkenstocks specifically, but not exclusively). You can find me on the Ossington strip, likely in a pair of denim overalls, hair bouncin’, shades on, and sipping on some Natty wine. I have an incredible memory so if I’ve met you or made a cake for you, I know who you are. So DON'T BE A FREAK if you see me on these streets.
